What I Buy
Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh — binder collections to warehouse bulk. Send photos and I'll let you know what I can offer.
Vintage Collections
Base Set, Jungle, Fossil, Rocket — all early sets. Raw and graded. Even beat-up commons have value in quantity.
Modern Sealed Product
Booster boxes, ETBs, tins, blister packs — factory sealed only. Modern and recent sets welcome.
Singles
Holos, rares, ultra rares, full arts, rainbow rares, alts. Condition matters — photos help.
Bulk (Commons & Uncommons)
Priced per card count. No need to sort. Even large lots of commons are worth sending — bulk is one of my core purchases.
Graded / Slabs
PSA, CGC, BGS — any population. Happy to make offers on individual slabs or full slab collections.
Not Sure?
Send me photos of whatever you've got. I'll let you know if it's something I can work with — no awkward back-and-forth.
Bulk Rates
What I pay per 1,000 cards — no sorting required. These are starting rates; vintage bulk and large lots (10,000+ cards) often get a bump.

Who You're Dealing With
Hi, I'm Nick.
I've been in this business since 2005, and I've spent those years learning what cards are worth and why. This isn't a side gig for me — it's something I genuinely care about.
I started HobbyistPro because I wanted sellers to have a buyer they could actually trust: someone transparent about pricing, fast to respond, and easy to deal with. When you send me your collection, you're not dealing with a warehouse — you're dealing with me, directly.
I'm based in Vancouver, British Columbia and buy from sellers across Canada.
Common Questions
The things sellers usually want to know before reaching out.
How do you decide what to offer?
I look at the current market (recent eBay sales, TCGPlayer) for each card. For bulk, I price by card count. My offer reflects what I can realistically resell or trade for, minus a fair margin.
How do I get paid?
Via Interac e-Transfer, usually the same day I receive and verify your cards.
Do you buy bulk?
Yes — bulk is one of my core purchases. I don't require you to sort commons from uncommons. Price is a flat rate per 1,000 cards — see the bulk rates above. Large lots welcome.
Do you do local pickup or only shipping?
Both. If you're near Vancouver, we can meet in a public spot. For shipping, I provide a prepaid label so you're not out of pocket.
